Well it's been an interesting month, full of highs and lows.On the plus side we've had some really interesting interviews, and some superb shows. There really is some fantastic worthwhile new bands out there, just waiting to be plucked by record companies. We are now reaching thousands of people worldwide - and to think it started as a little hobby. We are getting all kinds of offers we can't even keep up with, if this was a paid job I'd be delighted
I did my second band photoshoot this week in Castlefield Manchester at 7.30am and I'm really pleased with the results. Manchester really does have some amazing places for photoshoots.
I decided to use my redundantold Myspace back up site for a photography page. Check it out http://www.myspace.com/mudkissphotos
The lows this month have been that I was injured at Gogol Bordello show (stupidly in the mosh pit) but still alive to tell the tale, got the bruises to show, but thankfully no broken bones. After this I went andinjured my eye, (plant attack) resulting in me having to cancel the Die So Fluid show at Satans Hollow. No use without my right eye for taking photos. It is on the mend and hope to be back in action very soon. Meanwhile I enlisted the help of Chinners and he went to review them in Southampton.
Keep your eyes peeled on these bands ( I know we are) - The VivianGirls, The Black Belles, The Joy Formidable, Male Bonding, Red BloodShoes, Karen Elson, Kirsty Almeida (Manchester's Lady Gaga of jazz. ) Zola Jesus, The Stocks and The Dead Weather we love them.
